Andrew Daniels
Head Mobile Development, Betfred

Andrew has an eight year track record in the mobile technology arena where he has developed and implemented projects and services in the gaming and new media industries.  As a founder member of the start-up Million-2-1 which grew into the UK’s largest mobile gaming business Andrew delivered the technology to support the company’s reverse auction concept, the UK’s most popular SMS gaming product.  After Million-2-1 was acquired by International Game Technology (IGT) in 2008, Andrew focused on utilising Java and HTML5 to deliver famous slots titles such as Rainbow Riches, Monopoly Multiplier and Cleopatra to the iOS and Android mobile platforms. Andrew is the Head of Mobile Development at Betfred, currently responsible for the development and implementation of a broad range of mobile betting and gambling products.

Ben Kumara
Sportsbook Mobile Product Manager, BSkyB

Graduated from Durham University in 2005 (Software Engineering) and joined Sky Bet in March to head up the Mobile Product team. Since March Sky Bet has massively improved its Mobile offerings with focus on iPhone and Android smartphones.

Bret Terrill
Chairman and Founder, 12 Gigs

Bret is a pioneer in social gaming, founding one of the first social gaming companies in early 2007 with a focus on real-time multiplayer games. It failed. He took those lessons and shared them via a blog and became the first social gaming industry analyst. He took that expertise to Zynga, joining in 2008 as Director of Business Development and then transitioning to Senior Director of Corporate Development. He currently runs a mobile-social casino games company based in San Francisco.

Carla Pellicano
Vice President, Product Development, Fiksu

Carla Pellicano brings expertise in the technology, financial and education sectors to her role as head of product development at Fiksu, where her responsibilities include coordinating the research, design and implementation of new features for the Fiksu for Mobile Apps platform. Most recently, Carla was a senior vice president in Financial Engineering at BNY ConvergEx where she oversaw new product design and managed the development of global algorithmic trading. She has rich experience building high frequency, low-latency software systems.
Carla also served as a quantitative analyst at Fidelity Capital Markets where she was responsible for developing mathematical models that were employed in algorithmic trading tools. She began her career as a mathematics teacher in New York City. She has rich experience building high frequency, low-latency data driven software systems.

Christina Thakor-Rakin
Head of Operations, Virgin Games

With over 20 years’ experience across all areas of the operator spectrum Christina is currently the Operations Director at Virgin Games, having previously held roles with William Hill, Blue Square and Totesport. She has seen the industry grow and evolve from the days of blacked out shop windows and racecourses to the global, multi- product, multi -channel entertainment giant it is today, and still growing. At working games she is responsible for all aspects of operations and regulatory compliance amongst other things.

Craig is Global Director of Digital at Nokia, responsible for leading a world class digital and social media strategy for the worlds largest mobile phone company. Leading a team of highly skilled experts who drive the centre of digital media excellence and ensure a highest standard of strategic digital  execution along with the creation of a company wide social media framework focused on transforming Nokia into a truly social brand experience through digital innovation and social business design. 

Craig has very strong background in Enterprise and Digital Content Management technologies and user experience design and joined Nokia from Open Text where as Director of Social Media Strategy he advised and consulted on social media and Enterprise 2.0 strategies for some of the worlds largest organisations including T-Mobile, Novartis, SAP, RIM, Motorola, the Canadian Government and many more. Previously, he headed up the global eCommerce and digital marketing strategy for STA Travel and is credited with delivering cutting edge technologies to enhance the online travel agency's hugely successful online presence and web solutions. This included interactive travel applications, creating award winning social media communities and web2.0 applications including the award winning travel blogs, widgets, RSS feeds and many more. Craig was also hugely influential in developing some of the earliest partnerships and social media strategies with the Facebook founders which are still going strong today. 
  
Craig has been previously invited to talk and participate on the panel of some key events over the past three years including, Forrester Marketing EMEA, Social Media Influence, Enterprise 2.0 Conference, Internet World, EyeForTravel, AdTech, Revolution Search Marketing, Widgety Goodness, Content World and the ARK group's Streamlining web content and approval. Craig was voted as one of the UK's rising stars in the digital marketing sector and contributes to many publications on social media and business.

David Price, Gaming Industry Manager at O2 Media. David is responsible for the commercial strategy and revenue growth at O2 Media in the Gaming sector. David has been in media sales for over 12 years working across exhibitions, magazines, digital and most recently mobile markets. David started his media career working for the Daily Mail Group before moving to BBC Worldwide and then The National Magazine Company. 

Prior to O2 Media David worked at Orange where he was responsible for generating mobile and digital revenue. David joined O2 Media a year and a half ago to develop the unique mobile marketing opportunities for the gaming sector including true location targeting.

James Hilton

Marie Despringhere has worked at Google for over 7 years and is currently their Industry Manager for Mobile. She is responsible for working closely with Google's clients and agencies to help them develop mobile strategies and capture maximum value out of their relationship with Google plus the advertising solutions Google offer. Marie has recently been given 100% focus on gambling and gaming clients, a task she describes as highly exciting. Previously, she held the position of Industry Manager in the Google's UK Automotive team.

Darren currently provides consultancy to a large, high profile online gaming brand on their global mobile marketing and gaming strategy via his consultancy business, Mayfair Mobile Gaming.

Prior to this, Darren was part of the founding team that established the New York City based operations of FunkySexyCool, a mobile social network that had achieved moderate success in Australia and German speaking Europe. Overseeing new partnership development he provided strategic input and was instrumental in assisting the newly appointed Chief Executive navigate the challenging mobile content landscape as well as appoint two key senior members of the management team.

Darren established a North American presence for LiveEvents – a boutique interactive mobile marketing outfit based in Sydney, Australia – in New York and secured a number of platform deals including an interactive mobile TV service for a Mexican broadcaster and a Canadian sports media company.

Before his move to the United States, Darren conceptualized and founded SportzSMS, whose core technology was subsequently licensed to a number of sports media organizations globally including ESPN Soccernet in London, UK and Eurosport in Paris, France.

Darren's most successful venture was Broadscope Training Services which he co-founded and was at the time Australia’s largest training company with more than 110 staff, over 8000 trainees and more than $25 million in revenues. Darren led the drive and growth of the business helping to automate the sales processes for the sales and marketing team of 25 and oversaw the branding strategy to help increase the profile of the company which subsequently drove double digit growth for the company via integrated online, radio, television and print media campaigns.

Darren was a professional competing road cyclist from his late teens into his early twenties.

Darren’s core specialties include mobile technology, marketing, new media and internet methods, mobile marketing, mobile gambling, gaming, social networking, social media, web 2.0 tools, social monetization, start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures, fund raising, documentation, management and networking.

David MacQueen is Director for Strategy Analytics Wireless Media Strategies service, providing insight and strategic advice on all aspects of consumer mobile data products and services. Key areas of research include mobile advertising, games, music, social networking, TV and video.

Mr. MacQueen has a decade of experience at a senior level in the mobile media sector. Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, David spent 3 years at Screen Digest, where he built and subsequently headed up the 'Mobile Media Intelligence' service, providing data and analysis on the mobile sector for media companies. Before that, David started up The Games Kitchen, a wireless games development company, which in its 5 year lifespan attracted clients including Disney, Panasonic and Sega.

Joel is an experienced project manager and responsible for H2 mobile, poker and data capture products. In his current capacity Joel oversees and manages the mobile gambling and poker divisions at H2 and the recently launched H2 Mobile brand. Onika Russell

Onika Russell is currently Head of Payment Services at Ladbrokes; one of the largest UK betting and gaming and operators, having overall responsibility for Payments and Chargeback management across the Digital Division of the business.

After obtaining a degree in Law and Criminology, she moved straight into the emerging online gaming sector to develop fraud and chargeback management policies for the Ladbrokes back in 2000.

Developing a specialised and niche skill set took her onto Security and Payments management at successful start up operator 32Red Online Casino, and Payment Solutions Manager for the Betfred .com online brand.

11 years on and Onika has remained committed to the burgeoning online gaming industry; combining the years of e-commerce fraud management and its inextricable link to the ever growing array of international payment methods to focus on delivering safe and optimised transacting environments, a function pertinent to the successful e-commerce business on an truly international scale.

Onika is a regular contributor to industry panels and forums on payment and security issues and has acted in an advisory capacity to law enforcement, regulatory bodies and baking institutions on e-commerce gaming fraud and payments.

Ralf Wenzel

Ralf Wenzel joined Skrill in December 2007 and serves as Chief Operating Officer. He oversees all sales and account management activities, customer and merchant services and is also responsible for all banking and payment partnerships. Prior to joining Skrill, Ralf was Senior Vice President Sales and Business Development at Jamba GmbH (a VeriSign/NewsCorp company) where he was responsible for all worldwide sales, business development and account management initiatives. Key achievements while at Jamba included major partnerships with global brands such as MTV, Vodafone and Nokia. Ralf holds a graduate degree in Information Technology and graduated with highest honours from Berlin University.

Richard Ayers
Digital Playmaker, Manchester City FC

Manchester City is a football club on the up. The scale of its brand, business and media ambitions match the intentions on the pitch. Richard is focussed on driving forward the club's approach to media - leading innovation, forming unique partnerships and delivering increased audience engagement and reach.

He's a multi-disciplinary digital pioneer and veteran. A hybrid of content and commercial expertise, he was originally a radio journalist who turned geek. He was part of the team that launched BBC News online in 1997 and in the .com boom he went commercial and ran Tiscali's portal for the next 7 years.

For the last few of years he has focussed on a small portfolio of clients. These include the British Film Institute, the Guardian, M&G Investment Bank and helping broadcaster Channel 4 with their digital Paralympics 2012 coverage.

In November 2011 he was awarded the UK digital industry award "Individual of the Year" for his groundbreaking work as Head of Digital at Manchester City.

Richard Hewitt

Richard is the Head of Mobile product at Betfair, during his time on mobile at Betfair he has been responsible for releasing the first native betting iPhone  and first HMTL5 gambling app, as well as iPad and Android Applications.

Prior to his time at Betfair Richard worked variously in media, telecommunications and the aerospace industries.

Rick Brownlow

Rick has worked as both the developer and operator of mobile betting services since the first colour phone was released in 2002, as well as running his own business Chimaera Games, he spent 5 years at Mfuse working as Product Director and then Business Development Director working along side the majority of the UK’s leading online bookmakers, until moving to head up mobile at Sportingbet in May 2010 where he has rolled out the mobile Sportsbook product to 11 countries.

Simon Wilson
MD and Founder, mFortune Casino

Despite being only 3 years old, mFortune has grown exponentially under Mr Wilsons vision and entrepreneurial tenacity. mFortune is now the largest mobile casino in the UK and also the world, with over 1.5 million players and has established itself as a dominant force within the industry.

Mr Wilson believes the eGaming world has changed dramatically. Business today is more challenging and just good enough is not good enough anymore. Mr Wilson has a clear understanding of what is required to succeed in today’s market; the old paradigms just don’t seem to work anymore! Mr Wilson believes challenging industry boundaries is essential in order to achieve success within the mobile gaming sector.

Stuart Magowan
Head of Projects, Betfred

Stuart has worked in the betting industry in excess of 30 years, taking an interest in the technology behind the scenes from the start!, he has, during this time, overseen, amongst many other projects,  the installation and development of the retail estate epos system, redesign and implementation of the shop display system with 2db and the growth of the company from 150 shops to the current 1350+ estate before being appointed as the Head of Content for betfred.com then moving over to Gibraltar as Head of Projects saw the integration with mobile projects and the launch of mfuse.  Stuart has now returned to the UK and currently Head of mobile projects working within a dedicated development team responsible for the delivery of a broad range of mobile betting and gambling products.

Thomas Priglinger
Director MTV (Mobile, Touch & Video), bwin.party digital entertainment

Thomas Priglinger studied Computer Science and Economics in Vienna. He acted as web specialist in varied engagements as well as being self-employed. In 2001 he joined bwin as Head of IT and held this position until 2006. During this time he built and scaled the technology as well as the organisation. He was then appointed Director of R&D where he led the innovation Unit at bwin. In 2010 he was designated as Director of Customer and Gaming Platform being responsible for building a cost efficient, flexible and sustainable eGaming System. Recently he was addtionally appointed as Director of MTV (Mobile, Touch and Video) to implement the strategy, products and marketing of all Non-Desktop Channels at bwin.party.

Turlough Lally
Head of Mobile, Victor Chandler

Joined Victor Chandler in 2003 after previously working at Tote Ireland. Initially worked in online marketing before moving to Ireland in 2005 to help set up the Victor Chandler Irish business.

After 3 years there finishing as “Head of VC Ireland” I then moved back to Gibraltar in 2008 to take the role of Head of Acquisition Marketing before taking over the role of Head of Mobile last year. Recently I have become “Head of Digital Channels” at Victor Chandler and am now responsible for both Mobile and Web.

Volker Hirsch
Director Business Development, RIM

Volker is the Director, Business Development for Reseach In Motion where he arrived via the acquisition of mobile social gaming platform Scoreloop where he was Chief Strategy Officer. He is also a co-founder of Blue Beck, a game and app development studio.

Volker has been at the forefront of mobile and digital media for a decade. From helping conceive the world’s first mobile artist services for the likes of Britney Spears, Eve and Duran Duran, working with radio stations to use mobile as an audience activation tool to mobile games (with leading publishers Hands-On Mobile and Connect2Media where he oversaw licenses with Marvel, Hasbro, Activision, LEGO, BMW, Konami, WPT, etc.) he has been fortunate in playing a part in industry firsts.
