World mobile market to triple in size by 2015

The worldwide mobile gaming market is set to triple in size by 2015, to $7.5 billion according to new data from SuperData. Asia is currently the largest mobile gaming market, and is projected to hit $3.2 billion, taking 40 percent of the total market, by 2015.

The survey also showed that freemium games account for 55 percent of all mobile game revenues, while advertising only makes up for 6 percent. The data showed that between 3.5 percent and 10 percent of freemium players end up converting to paying users.
