Online bingo declines 6.1pc in Q2

Online bingo wagering in the second quarter has decreased by 6.1pc in compared with Q1 figures according to Bingoport.co.uk's 'Bingo Trends' data report. Since Bingoport's verified industry data tracking commenced in June 2011, this is the first quarter to record a decline in bingo wagering.

Bingoport.co.uk Managing Director, Scott Logan, believes it is an accurate indication of the market being fully matured: "Obviously the April-June quarter has historically been impacted by the warmer weather and Summer holiday season, but in previous years, ongoing growth of the industry has countered any reduction in activity during this period. It seems clear that the industry is no longer growing at such a rate."
