Schleswig Holstein expected to issue 4-6 licenses before ban

Schleswig Holstein's new Interior Minister Andreas Breitner has confirmed that between four and six new online gaming licenses will be issued in the German state before the current gaming law is anulled, most likely in August. Breitner has said that it was not probable that licenses already granted would be rescinded owing to the possibility of lawsuits for damages by the existing operators.

Last week, Germany's 15 German states, excluding Schleswig Holstein, signed the G15 treaty, effectively banning online poker. Breitner said that his state would join the pact once the government has ratified that states position.
